Distribusi Sebaran Angka Kematian Bayi di Kabupaten Kediri Tahun 2014-2018

The infant mortality rate is the number of babies under the age of one year per 1,000 births occurring within one year, as a reference to assess the merits of economic, social, and environmental conditions in a country. This research aimed to determine the distribution of infant mortality in the Kediri in 2014-2018. This research was a descriptive study to describe the distribution of IMR in Kediri Regency based on regional aspects. The population and sample used in this study were infant mortality ratios in 2014-2018 obtained from Pare District Hospital of Kediri Regency. Based on the results of the study there was a tendency for an increase in areas that have infant mortality during the period 2014 to 2018. Almost all districts in Kediri district had infant mortality with less than 1 year old except Grogol, Kandat, Kras, Ngadiluwih, and Semen. The results of the analysis based on the distribution map also found that the Pare district was an area that had continuous infant mortality from 2014 to 2018. MMR in some areas around Pare reflecting the expanding coverage of Pare Hospital services from year to year. It also shows the level of public trust in hospitals is growing over time. Furthermore, further research is needed to find out exactly what is the exact cause of the high infant mortality rate in Pare Sub-district.
