Abstract

The condition of failure to grow that causes stunted growth in children is called stunting. Stunted toddlers have a lower posture. Protein intake is one of the substances that can affect the occurrence of poor growth. One of the food sources rich in protein is fish. In Lamongan Regency, the number of stunted toddlers is more found in non-coastal areas than in coastal areas. This study aims to analyze the relationship between fish protein intake in toddlers on coastal and non-coastal areas. The method used an analytical survey with a cross-sectional design, the technique used was purposive sampling with a sample of 90 toddlers. The results of the study showed, based on the Chi-Square statistical test, the P-Value was 0.002 (<0.05), which indicated a relationship between fish protein intake and stunting incidence in toddlers in coastal and non-coastal areas. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between fish consumption in toddlers in coastal and non-coastal areas in stunting prevention
