Gambaran Karakteristik Pasien Diabetes Melitus di Puskesmas Semen Tahun 2021

Diabetes Mellitus is a type of disease that is chronic or chronic. Diabetes mellitus is a major cause of blindness, heart disease and kidney failure. The purpose of the study was to find out the description of diabetes mellitus based on the characteristics of gender, age, and patient area at the Semen Health Center in 2021. This study used a descriptive method with a case series design. The population in this study were 677 people with diabetes mellitus in 2021 with a total sampling technique. The results showed that the highest number of patients with diabetes mellitus was at the age of 45-54 years (elderly) as many as 196 cases. Female sex as many as 496 cases. The region with the lowest cases was in the Kanyoran region with 16 with a percentage of 2 percent. It is necessary to increase network activities and mobile health centers, especially in the Kanyoran area. Health workers need to improve health promotions such as routine blood sugar monitoring, wound care, adherence to taking anti-diabetes mellitus drugs, lighting fires, the importance of routine physical activity, and avoiding foods that are high in calories and fat.
