Gambaran Pelaksanaan Keamanan Dokumen Rekam Medis Pada Ruang Filing di Rumah Sakit Baptis Kediri

There are several types and sources of damage to medical record documents stored in the filing room including physical, chemical, biological damage and loss. Damaged medical record documents will cause recorded patient health information to be inaccurate, lost and unclear. The medical record room and storage of medical record documents at the Baptist Hospital Kediri has an access door that is directly connected to the outside of the main hospital building. This study aim to know the implementation of the security of medical record documents in the filing room at Baptist Hospital Kediri. Type of this research was descriptive which is supported by qualitative research on medical record officers and filing room security facilities. Data was collected by observation and documentation. The results of this study are Baptist Hospital Kediri has documents that regulate the security of medical record documents and has a plan to move the filing room free from other services area and other people. Measures for securing medical record documents are using thick folders, providing fire extinguishers, using exhaust fans, designing one-door access room layouts and providing insecticides. Suggestions that need to be done are the procurement of infrastructure such as air conditioners (AC) and fire detectors as well as conducting scheduled insecticide spraying activities at least once every 6 months.
