Abstract

Statistics to the hospital are very important to evaluate the quality of medical services in the hospital. Time series analysis is a method of statistical analysis used in conducting estimation or forecasting in the future. Research objectives was to do the projection of infant mortality rate at RSUD X Kabupaten Kediri uses single exponential smoothing. This researd was a descriptive study with a periodically case study (time series) using retrospective approach. The population that is used is all inpatient baby (living or died) in 2014-2018 at RSUD X Kabupaten Kediri. Based on descriptive data analysis it was discovered that the death rate was very fluctuates due to the increase of patient visits baby or infant mortality is still very high. The number of death was 362 babies with the most caused by intrauterine fetus death (IUFD) by the number of cases for 89 and the least caused by neonatal preterm by the number of cases for 8. The projection for 2 years a head, there will be a declining in infant mortality rate although only a few in 2019 and gradually will stable until 2020. Conclusion stated that the result in a single exponential smooting showed a decrease in infant mortality rate.
